Things to do:
- Event Calendar: There is an online event calendar showing events in La Ventana. Here is the link
- Laundry: We do not have a laundry machine at CasaCone. We bring our laundry to Gabriella whose driveway is directly across from the entrance to the CampGround near Playa Central.
- Cash/ATM: There are three ATM machines in La Ventana. The are not always available as there is sometimes a run on cash. The machines are in the restaurant Playa Central , at the star market and a small store near Taco's Patty.
- Wifi: We have good internet available in two casitas, suitable for zoom calls etc. Password is: casacone AT&T works well here with solid reception for calls.
- Transport around town: CasaCone is 2 min walk to beach, about 10 minute walk to the closest bar/restaurant. La Ventana itself is spread out over about 5 miles. We have a couple of bikes and sometimes a spare ATV to get around town. Lots of people do hitch hike up and down the main road.
- Weather Forecast: There is a meteorologist named MasViento on Facebook who does a daily wind forecast and projection for the week.

- Hospital: best option in La Paz is Central De Especialdades Medicas "the purple hospital"
Things to do:
- Yoga - Lots of yoga classes in town, Baja Joes is the closest.
- Kite Boarding Lessons: There are several Kite Boarding Schools in town. Baja Joes "Elevation Kite School" which is 10 minute walk from CasaCone seems to offer good lessons, with Jet Ski support. Best to message them far in advance during holiday time.
- WhaleShark Trip in La Paz (All the companies online are good) The extra half day to sea lion rock and Balandra Beach is well worth it!
- Mountain Bike Cardon Forest. This is about half a mile from CasaCone. Be sure to download the TrailForks app for your phone as it shows all the cool trails. We have one and a half bikes (one is so-so) at CasaCone, others are for rent in town. This is so fun to do on full moon nights.
- Hike up to Minitas View Point. This is about a 3 hour roundtrip hike from Hot Springs Beach. Its best done very early in the morning before it gets hot or windy. Its a gorgeous view and gradual incline. its actually a bike trail. Here is the link
- Flow Dance Classes: Michael Haug of Seattle has a studio in town.
- Blue Whale Trip Up North at Magdalena Bay with Captain Carlos this is about a 4 hour drive from La ventana
- Suenos Grand Resort is a very fun place to spend the day. Only about 30 minutes drive, gorgeous bay for snorkeling and the Trains Restaurant is surreal.
- Mountain Biking - So many cool rides. Be sure to download TrailForks App.
- Dentist: Many people come to Mexico to get teeth cleaned or worked on. El Teso Dentist in La Ventana is open one day a week.
- Rancho Cacachilas: Owned by the Walton family is a great place to ride bikes and tour. Reservations needed
- Massage: Marcella at Mar Spa next to the KM0 Coffee shop is a special massage therapist. You can message her on Whatsapp a 6121549605
- Head to Funky Town Todos Santos - This is about an hour and 15 minutes from La Ventana. Lots of shops, surfing etc.
- Play Pickle Ball
- Paraglide - For solo pilots, there are a couple of sites in town that work on low wind days and east wind days...seems to happen about every 10 days or so. There are a couple of tandem pilots in town who offer flights.
- Bi-Monthly Traditional Sweat Lodges with Danny.
- Hot Springs - visit Hot Springs Beach as the tide is going out, surreal hot water baths in the sand. This is at the north end of La Ventana.
- Punto Gordo Trail is a must. Its a 2 hour easy hike out along the North Cliff...gorgeous!
- Snorkeling - We have a couple sets of masks and snorkels at CasaCone. Great Snorkeling up at Hot Springs Beach, also in Suenos
- SUP - Stand Up Paddle Boarding is awesome on low wind mornings. We have one at CasaCone. Others to rent at CasaTara.

- Thursday Morning Farmers Market near the OXXO station. Lots of cool artists selling their stuff.
- Waterfall Day: Rancho exologico sol de Mayo. It’s amazing!! It's highly recommend staying at the ranch in one of their cabañas. But you can easily do a day trip, it’s only 1.5 hours from La Ventana. WhatsApp is the best way to reach them for reservations. Or just show up for day use. +52 624 191 8024
